Day Job - Wind Quartet

by Andrew Steck

/

about

This a three part wind quartet composed on Sibelius and realized via NotePerformer. This is a pretty light-hearted piece overall that was inspired in part by Nino Rota's film music for Fellini and Stravinski's Petrushka. The name Day Job is an inner joke from when I used to work night shifts and study composition in the daytime. The melodic germ originates from about 20 years before the rest of the piece was written.
